Peggy and J.F. Bryan IV, who endowed the Babson Center’s Bryan Viewpoints Speakers Series, are both involved in philanthropic causes, many of them centered on the northeastern Florida region around Jacksonville.
Mr. Bryan, C’65, joined his family’s insurance business after graduation and a period of active duty in the National Guard. As president of the firm in the 1990s, he arranged the sale of the firm to American General. Since then he has largely devoted himself to civic and charitable activities. Both Mr and Mrs. Bryan are active in the Reinhold Foundation, which supports the non profit sector in Clay County, FL.
Mr. Bryan is actively involved in activities supporting (among others) Bethune-Cookman College; the Local Initiative Support Corporation, a Jacksonville-based national organization providing support nationally for non profit groups; The Community Foundation in Jacksonville; and Body & Soul, a Jacksonville-based organization that seeks to enhance health care through the involvement of the arts.
The Bryans have three sons: Jeff, C’93; Cotton, C’95; and Josh.
